I always had the dream to produce mr.knox in solid wood. The problem is that the gears have to stay perfectly round to keep working correctly. Solid wood is just not usable beacuse of the natural proces of expanding and shrinking. Because of that i always use stable plywood for mr.knox. But now i found a material from austria which has the benefit of both worlds. Solid walnut plywood! Not cheap but it works just great!
