veneerworlds

Veneerworlds are little artobjects of curvy woodveneers on which small people and animals live. The beautiful veneers are lasercut into circles and then tiny figures are placed carefully to create the scenes. These round objects are then framed for hanging on walls.

The idea for veneerworld came to me when i found these wavy veneers at the woodshop. This veneer is extremely curvy and in combination with the grainlines it looks like a elevation map of little worlds.

Depending on the type of figures and the chosen veneers unique scenes are created.
